Beauty of character

Dharma eva hato hanti, dharmo rakshati rakshitah
Thasmath dharmo na hantavyo ma na dharmo hato vageeth

Dharma, when destroyed ,destroys.Dharma protects when it is protected .
Therefore Dharma must not be violated ,otherwise violated dharma destroys us .

The people of ancient India were very strong of character .For them the Dharma "righteous path"was more important than their lives .In Mahanarayana Upnishad it is said :

Dharmo vishwasya jagatah pratishtaa
loke dharmishtam praja upasarpanthi .
dharmena papamapanudanti
dharme sarvam pratisthitam
tasmath dharmam paramam vadanti

Dharma contitues the foundation of all affairs in the world,People respect one who adheres to Dharma.Dharma destroys bad and sinful acts .Everything in this world is founded on Dharma .Therefore dharma is considered supreme and eternal .

A right person was intended to inflict a war only when the "Dharma" was violated .Even during wars they obeyed the rules of war that was made on the cradle of Dharma only.According to Manu "Dharma according to Manu is that "which is followed by the learned (and) good, by those ever free from spite and passions, (and) which is acknowledged by the mind" and consists of "The Veda, tradition, good custom, and (what is) pleasing to one's self."People worked just thinking that their duty was above anything .Even in the Gita it has been written that we should just rely on our Karma without expecting its fruitful result .(Karmanevadhikaraste ma phaleshu kadachan). At that time there existed two sets of rules:

(a) Rules of customary law, that deal with rights and duties, right and wrong, though the emphasis was on duties and obligations. What was practised was dharma.

(b) The law of the divine wisdom. The Vedic Aryans believed that the soul is immortal and the body, its abode, is mortal and perishable. According to them the soul of a being enjoys or suffers in the next birth according to the good and bad karma (action) done in this world. Yajna (any Hindu ritual in which fire is the eternal deity) was the way of attaining salvation.

Will Durant (1885-1981) an American Historian has said :

"It is true that even across the Himalayan barrier India has sent to us such questionable gifts as grammar and logic, philosophy and fables, hypnotism and chess, and above all our numerals and our decimal system. But these are not the essence of her spirit; they are trifles compared to what we may learn from her in the future."

"Perhaps in return for conquest, arrogance and spoliation, India will teach us the tolerance and gentleness of the mature mind, the quiet content of the unacquisitive soul, the calm of the understanding spirit, and a unifying, a pacifying love for all living things."
(source: Philosophy of Hinduism - An Introduction - By T. C. Galav Universal Science-Religion. p 20).

In his book, The Case for India he has said:

"India was the motherland of our race, and Sanskrit the mother of Europe's languages: she was the mother of our philosophy; mother, through the Arabs, of much of our mathematics; mother, through the Buddha, of the ideals embodied in Christianity; mother, through the village community, of self-government and democracy. Mother India is in many ways the mother of us all."  Nothing should more deeply shame the modern student than the recency and inadequacy of his acquaintance with India....This is the India that patient scholarship is now opening up like a new intellectual continent to that Western mind which only yesterday thought civilization an exclusive Western thing."
"As flowing rivers disappear in the sea, losing their name and form, thus a wise man, freed from name and form, goes to the divine person who is beyond all." Such a theory of life and death will not please Western man, whose religion is as permeated with individualism as are his political and economic institutions. But it has satisfied the philosophical Hindu mind with astonishing continuity.

All the above statements ,if you are capable of grasping ,shows that in this infinite universe Indians knew what was really a thing to achieve that could expand an identity from a state of this destructible body to spread over the maximum space in this infinite universe .The things for which people fight in this world ,is really negligible in comparison to that great thing ,which a people can attain after knowing this supreme knowledge of Ancient Hindu Dharma .It gives everything to you that very knowledge ,that makes you feel that you have found everything ,and whatever you are seeing in everyday life is just happening under that superior "realistic Life" .

My father used to say to me that in this universe no such thing is impossible that you can ever think .Because this universe is full of combinations of energies that have unlimited possibilities of uniting .I really bow in feet of my father ,my best teacher who has led my mind being enlightenend by this beautiful abyssal knowledge of "the eternal Brahma" .

That country which was versed with the beautiful people who had beautiful character ,where the humanity was at the top of all social laws and which was the ultimate centre of divinity in the whole world ...would it not be the Most Beautiful India !! You can feel it only when you have reached at a higher state of knowledge which naturally occurs in everyone but hidden by various worldy desires .

As lord Krishna has stated in the Gita " As a covered by smoke ,mirror by dirt and embryo by the amnion ,so is knowledge covered by desire.Knowledge stands covered by this eternal enemy of the wise ,which is insatiale like fire. The senses ,the mind and the intellect are declared to be its seat ,screening the light of truth through these ,it deludes the embodied soul. Therefore ,Arjun ,you must first control your senses and then kill this evil thing which obstructs gyana (knowledge) and vigyana(science)

So if somebody really wants to get acquainted with the beauty of India ,he/she must try to feel it .
